Invasive Procedures

This group has been pretty quiet lately. What are you reading these days?

I recently finished the book "Invasive Procedures".
This was a book the OSC co-authored with someone else.
It took a while for me to get into the story, but that was also the case with some of the "Homecoming" novels.

The feel of the book seemed more like a Michael Crichton thriller than OSC's usual style,
which I attribute to the co-author.
I'd be interested in hearing your take on this. Was it ever made into a movie?

P.S. I just started the novel "Nation" and it captured my interest right away ...

I read that and thought the same thing. It was dull, like the plot to a movie.

I'm reading... uh. Moby Dick. DON'T JUDGE ME!!
I think Treasure Box was the most recent OSC book I've read. Right now I'm reading some P.C. Cast books but they are fantasy, not scifi. Nevertheless her characters really are pretty awesome
Invasive Procedures was written as a novel adaptation of a film idea he's working to sell. It has not yet been made into a film. He's been trying to market several of his stories for film adaptation, including (iirc) Homebody and Dogwalker.
